Mrs. Bindu N Shah, Hon. Director
Mrs. Bindu N Shah, Rehabilitation professional, has been associated with Ambika Sishu Kendra since its inception. She has been the ‘Honorary Director’ since April, 2007. With her preliminary training from Indian Institute of Cerebral Palsy, Kolkata she has equipped herself with training in rehabilitation and special education, over the period of time.

Ms V.R.P Sheilaja Rao has a working experience of 35 years which includes 32 Years in NIEPID, Secundarabad retiring as formal HOD, Department of Special Education.She is Qualified with M.Ed, Special Education-(ID), M.Ed, Special Education (LD), and MA with specialization in Medical and Psychiatric social work, TISS Mumbai. Currently serving as Academic Co-ordinator at Ambika Sishu Kendra.
Ms. E.V.K. Bhagya Lakshmi, Rehabilitation Officer
Ms. E.V.K. Bhagya Lakshmi, a post-graduate diploma holder in special education from Spastic Society of Tamil Nadu, Chennai, is in-charge of special education. She looked after all the academic, training and orientation programmes until Oct 2022. She has been rendering her services since January 1997. Currently she is serving as Rehabilitation Officer after completing her Diploma in Early Childhood Special Education - ID Course.
Mrs. Poornima N Shah, Hon. Co-ordinator and RCI Approved Course Administrator
Mrs. Poornima N. Shah is a Social Worker and Administrative Coordinator for RCI courses at Ambika Sishu Kendra. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Postgraduate qualification in International Business from Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune. She is currently pursuing the course in Certificate in Early Childhood SpecialEducation Enabling Inclusion - Intellectual Disability and is actively involved in the administration and coordination of RCI-approved courses and programmes at Ambika Sishu Kendra.
Mrs. Hemangi A Shah, Hon. ICT Co-ordinator/ Special Educator
Mrs. Hemangi A. Shah is a Special Educator and ICT Coordinator with a background in Information Technology, Marketing, Business Analysis, and Entrepreneurship. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration in IT & Marketing from ICFIAN Business School. She has four years of corporate experience with BoardEx India Pvt. Ltd., one year of experience as a Business Analyst at Benchmark Softec Pvt. Ltd., and two years of entrepreneurial experience with Purushottam & Co. She has also served as a Co-owner at Anmol. With her diverse professional experience, she brings innovation, technological expertise, and an inclusive approach to the field of education.
Mrs. Mona K Shah, Hon. DSE Co-ordinator
Mrs. Mona Shah has completed her MBA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from H.B College, Bengaluru. She has worked as an HR Manager in an IT firm at Tritium HR Co, Bengaluru. Later completed a Diploma Course in Teachers' Training for Intenational Schools and worked as a Pre-Primary Teacher in an International School for 14 years. Currently, working as DSE Co-ordinator at Ambika Sishu Kendra, Kurnool.
Mr. N. Surendra Babu, HOD - Speech Therapy
Mr. N. Surendra Babu with a diploma in Special Education (HI), is the Speech Therapist. He was appointed in June, 2008. His strategic therapies concentrate on improving vegetative functions and promoting different modes of communication.
Ms. Kiruthiga Kumar, HOD - Special Education & Core Faculty of RCI - Diploma Courses
Dr. Kiruthiga Kumar is a Special Education professional with expertise in functional education, inclusive practices, and skill development for children with specialneeds. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Special Education from RKMVERI, Coimbatore, and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Special Education and Core faculty for RCI approved Diploma Courses at Ambika Sishu Kendra, Kurnool. Her professional interests include , reading literacy, functional academics, vocational readiness, and transition planning, with a focus on promoting independence and meaningful participation among children with special needs.
Dr. K. Jeevana Jyothi, HOD – Physiotherapy
Dr. K. Jeevana Jyothi is a highly skilled and experienced physiotherapist with 14.7 years of expertise in the field, specializing in neuro-musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She holds a Master's in Physiotherapy along with an MSc in Psychology, a combination that brings both advanced clinical expertise and a deeper understanding of the behavioral and developmental aspects of care. She began her career as an Occupational Therapist at Pinnacle Blooms Network, Hyderabad, before serving as a Consultant Physiotherapist and Ergonomist at Recoup Neuro Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Center, Bangalore — an initiative affiliated with Oracle.
Since September 2022, Dr. Jyothi has been with Ambika Sishu Kendra, Institute for Disability Rehabilitation and Empowerment, where she now heads the Physiotherapy Department as HOD. She is also in charge of the Occupational and Early Intervention Unit and serves as faculty for the RCI-Certified Diploma in ID Courses. Known for her dedication and positive approach to work, she continues to be a valuable asset in delivering holistic, personalized care to the children and families the institute serves.
